Auto Windscreens celebrates double success at the North Midlands & South Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards
Auto Windscreens is delighted to have picked up ‘Large Newcomer of the Year’ at the North Midlands & South Yorkshire Apprentice Awards 2017, as well as receiving a special commendation in the ‘Training Provider of the Year’ category.
Being recognised in these categories further cements the windscreen repair and replacement providers’ commitment to its apprenticeship scheme (ALEX), after pledging to introduce 40 apprentices to the business by the end of 2017.
The ceremony which took place at The Showroom Workstation in Sheffield last night (Tuesday 16th May), saw the windscreen repair and replacement provider beat off stiff competition from the Royal Mail. The awards, in their first year, celebrate and recognise the hardworking individuals and organisations involved in apprenticeships and how they shape our future.
Rupert Armitage, Auto Windscreens’ Managing Director, commented: “We’re absolutely delighted our scheme has been recognised in these awards and it is a real testament to our apprentices and the team that are supporting them and the programme. The apprentices are proving invaluable to the business and we plan to continue to support more young people with the transition from education into the workplace and ensure the next generation of glass repair technicians are trained to our excellent standards. As part of Markerstudy Group of Companies, we are The Sunday Times 4th ‘Best Big Company to Work For’ so have huge amounts of benefits to offer enthusiastic individuals wanting to join our team.”
