Final Showdown Looms as 'Clearly the Best' Finalists Announced
Technicians from Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Kent have made it to the finals of the our annual ‘Clearly the Best’ contest. Jonathan Lord from Portsmouth, Jim Allen from Banbury, Nick Hill from Walderslade and Tom Barker from Snodland saw off competition from 15 other technicians to secure a spot in the grand final at our Training Centre in Chesterfield on 14 September, where one will be crowned the champion.
The regional heats took place between 27 June-13 July at our Service Centres around the UK. With a combined 100 years’ experience between them, the four competitors will be assessed on their key skills required for their roles, including technical knowledge, customer service, health and safety, an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration, quality of workmanship and Environmental Social and Governance aspects of the role.
James MacBeth, Auto Windscreens’ Managing Director, said: “We saw a high standard of work during our regional heats and it’s a real achievement for Jonathan, Jim, Nick and Tom to have done so well and made it to the final. They are some of our most experienced technicians, and Tom and Jim are previous champions, so we expect it to be quite a competition. Good luck to all four, and may the best man win!”
